Long Time No Blog

Hey all. It has been awhile since I blogged... but things are going well. 1 year of marriage and things are great. We bought a house! So I am a homeowner... which is cool!!! we are just trying to fix it up and work on it as much as we can. So when Chad comes down, he will have a place to sleep!!

Been out to Vegas twice in the past 4 months and got to see the Beatles "Love" show out there. So that was cool. I really like it out there, I am not much of a gambler, but there is so much to do and see out there it blows your mind. Plus Video Poker is fun!!

In other big news. I AM A UNCLE! That is crazy, but yea, I am a Uncle.... My niece, Sydney, was born on March 9th. We are so happy to have her and I can't wait to start being an uncle and spoiling her and then giving her back to her parents to deal with!!
That is me holding her on the day she was born. How exciting that was. We were just glad she came before we left for Georgia the next day. Needless to say we spent 4 days, in great weather in Georgia missing out newest family member.
Other than that... Nothing crazy going on. Got to vacation in Vegas for a week and then Travel to Georgia for buisness, now we are back to work and trying to get things done! Hopefully I will have more fun for you soon!

Grilling = Cancer!

Don't drink beer... it kills braincells... makes you dumb.... bad for you! NOW!! They are telling me I can't grill anymore... That now the fine doctors at Johns Hopkins in baltimore say that grilled meat is linked to CANER! SERIOUSLY, this is rediculous! I can do anything I enjoy... Pretty soon they will tell me that playing guitar is linked to giving me Cancer! I am tired of this... I just want to sit on my porch... smoke a cigar... drink a nice beer, and grill some steak! Stupid people!!!

Maybe I am cranky cause I have the flu today! Rediculous!

HPT 158.... What a week!

Ok so, I am done with another year of working for Havard University's Hasty Pudding Theatricals and it was another great year. The show, "Some Like it Yacht" is playing now thru March 19th in Cambridge and is great. It was fun spending a week working in Theatre and reminds me every year that I don't miss those hours at all!!! HOLY LORD!!!

Got to meet and see Richard Gere this past friday, as he was this year's Man of the Year. Every year they pic a man and woman of the year, that they then bring up onto stage infront of a national audience (it is usually on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, all those shows...) and roast them. Basically they make fun of them for like 20 minutes... and then they get a little golden Pudding Pot! The week before, I got to see them roast Halle Berry, who was totally OFF THE HOOK!!!!

But as always it is cool to work with some great HARVARD kids and some even greater professional theatre people.... So thanks to John, Krista, Manny, Frish, Drew, Rusty, Lauren, Tony, Karen, Matt, and all the other cool people! And Wojtek for learning something in 2 days that usually takes someone weeks to learn.... YOU DA MAN!

Anyway.... hope you enjoy the picture... (especially the ones of Halle Berry!)

Damn New England!!

OK So.... old man winter finally decided to rear it F-Ugly head here in New England... No winter usually comes in November around these part... But most of January it was in the 50's and 60's... So here is my theory.... Since it is just starting now in Febuary and if you go by the idea that Winter in NE usually last at least 5 months... That means it will be snowing till JUNE!

UPDATE: I just shoveled for 2 hours... This is BS!

Today... I cried.

ok so...As I sat in my office today eating lunch... I did my usual web surfing checking my usual sites. Read the news at CNN.com, looked at what is going on with Sirius Satrad on Get Sirius Info, and then moved on to read the daily going-ons of Joshua Cale! But with much sadness I read that Joshy has decided to discontinue his BLOG until further notice. I will be lost! What will I do... There will be no more interesting gadgets that real people would never buy, but Josh.... There will be no more stories about how people on the Metro smell funny or talk to Josh (because he is so approachable).... I am really sad today!

Cap in your ass......

ok... so my buddies gave me a kick ass batchalor party tonight... and it was great! But with greatness comes... great stories!!!

So we went out to dinner tonight... and hung out... got some grub... and then decided that we wanted to go out and hang at some bars... so we do.... We went to a couple of places of the south side of "The Burgh" Had a couple of beers at the Blue Note and then went to Popirazzi's where a cool band threw down the funk!

Then we decided to end the night with a visit to the local adult dancing establishment. Which was like many of the other fine dancing establishments that you may have been to.... But, as the night ended we walked outside to try and catch a cab back to our hotel.... and as we waited for out cab a great battle of the over 21, but yet, not quite grown-up kids, decided that they were going to FIGHT.... and so as we stood outside waiting for our cab... We saw all these kids

break into a fight... after watching these guys kick and punch each other for about 2 minutes... we decided to go back into the then closed establishment, when one of the kids opened his truck and started to reach inside for something....... YEA! So anyway... we waited inside for about 20 minutes while the manager of the dancing establishment, until the PPD showed up and calmed the situations... I tell you, if you are going to have a batchalor party... just make sure your don't get shot!

I will blog more about the crazyness of the weekend tomorrow... Including... the cab ride back to the hotel.... and Dingo asking random people if they are strippers!!

Well WRONG!! Instead I spent 5 hours in various Doctors offices... because I hit my ear at the lumber yard this morning... What a friggin day... but for you damn naysayers, here is a picture just to prove you can get three stitches in your inner ear... But you have to find a really good doctor!!!

The War on "Petoria" (Peterland was already taken)

OK So... with much excitement as I get in bed tonight to watch the new episode of Family Guy (one of my Favorite shows).... The Fox News special report logo comes flying across the screen. And there is George Bush, telling me why it is good we are in Iraq. Now, maybe he was upset with the new Jib Jab that was released this week about how tough 2005 was for him... Or maybe he wants to try and get his approval up so he will get better Christmas gifts from the European countries. I am not sure why he felt he had to talk to me, but really couldn't he have waited till American Dad came on, because that show just isn't funny!

UPDATE: Redemption.... Fox at least started Family Guy right after the speech.

As I stated in a post from a month ago about Walmart, I am really not sure how they make money!!! So Allison and I went in this Christmas with her sister and Brother-in-law to but her father a big $200 high tech safe. We ordered it from the Walmart online store and had it shipped. (it was like 50 bucks to ship it!). Then a week or so later 2 boxes were delivered to us. I thought.."hummmm, i just thought it was one box?!?!?" So upon opening the boxes... There was a safe in each box. Freaked out, I check my online banking and sure enough, the fine folks at walmart only charged me for one. So yet again... Walmart has given the best gift of all this year... FREE STUFF...

For those of you keeping score... Sam Walton and family have given us a total of $303.48 in free gifts this year.... Ho ho ho... STUPID!

Thank to the UK

Well once again we have recreated a UK gameshow into american greatness! Yes, I am referring to The Discovery Channel's americanized version of "Cash Cab"

It is great! People get into a cab in New York, and tell the drive to take them to a destination... and then lights start flashing and music starts playing and they freak out. Basically the cab takes them to their destination, but they have to answer questions on the way. They get money if they get them right and they get strikes if they miss any. 3 Strikes and the driver boots them onto the street wherever they are! I really just want to goto NYC and look for the cab. The host, Ben Bailey, makes fun of the people in the cab, especially the stupid ones! It is a good time. You should totally check it out on Discovery Channel, evenings at 6p EST!

Plus the lights on the cab ceiling are freakin cool!

The Revenge of The Necks!

I Love my Hometown... was a great place to grow up... and West Virginia is a great state that really gets horribly stereotyped. Now with that said... WHAT THE HELL?

This is a picture that was taken today by my mother, from you know where.... and if you don't know... well sorry.

The first think I thought was not...

But seriously... it makes me think that what the hell is wrong with people... That place is such a disgrace to my hometown. I guess that is as my mother put it "that's the WV way of displaying your kill" (jokingly of course!). I can not believe this picture... I mean really! I know that every state has rednecks, and I am starting to think that WV's are the most creative! Just when you think you have seen it all... THE NECKS, top them selves. I am really surprices that they weren't dancing around it, ala Lord of the Flies, chanting! Really folks! I am not even sure what to expect next!

OK... So I am going to spend a lot of time on my Blog... Blogging about music... cause it is something that I am very opinionated about... So here is my first new Album Review....

John Mayer Trio - TRY!

Ok so really... I am a milder fan of him and his pop silliness... BUT! I think I now understand him better... sometimes in order for muscians to play the music they are passionate about... they need to sell out (which seems to be the opposite case for Dave Matthews... do good music, then seel out) and I think that John Mayer is proving that... Surrounding himself with the amazing rhythm section of Pino Palladino (a Welsh bass player who has spend most of his 20+ year career as a studio muscian for artist as great as Eric Clapton, D'Angelo, Al DiMeola, and Femi Kuti {Fela's Son}) and Steve Jordan (NYC born drummer who has also played with Eric Clapton, Cheryl Crow, Spiro Gyro, and JAMES BROWN!).

The first single "Who Did You Think I Was" is really shades of Hendrix. That great groove feel with a bluesy undertone. The connection between the three muscians really reminds me of the heyday of Cream when Clapton and Bruce would match notes perfectly with Ginger just laying it on thick!

A few other standouts on this album (even though I honestly listen to the think top to bottom without skipping a tune) are the title track "Try!" and "Out of My Mind" for just the raw blues power that Mayer gives via his guitar playing. I also really enjoyed the version of Ray Charles' "I Got a Woman" for the funky entertainment value.

I think that Now Mayer is able to show what he really has in him... The Blues of SRV and Double Trouble, with the openness of The Jimi Hendrex Experience, and the parliament! I am really happy with this album and I hope that this new stone that Mayer has turned in him musical

As much as it may pain me to say this (mostly because John Mayer to me, up until this point, was mostly riding the coat tails of the acoustic popness of the Dave Matthews Band era) this may be my favorite album of 2005 with only 27 days left in the month, I don't think that anything will top this for me! I know... sick!

ok... that is what I think... so it must be right!

Henry Ford would Cry!

OK. So I drive a big Ford F-250. It was due for a sticker this month and needed some work done to it. So as usual I take it to my local Ford Dealership Service department. I usually don't have a bad time with them... But I guess that jinxed me!

I drop it off and tell them that I need the Driver side turn light replaced, cause it isn't working and my yearly inspection. The guy at the desk takes my notes and they take my truck to work on. They call... say "it's ready for you" I go get it. He goes over everything they did, including repairing the light. And then gives me the keys. So I get in my truck and leave.

As I am driving home, I see people flipping my off everytime I try and turn left. Why you ask? Cause my friggin turn light still isn't working. So I call back... and he says, ohh well we knew we had to order a part. Why didn't you tell me that? And you passed it on the state inspection... Idiot

Allison and I travel to our brand new Ikea this morning. We had a few things in mind we wanted to buy, one of which is this very nice storage unit. Which we bought. We fought through the millions of people and lines and lines of cars to get this closet... and take it home and spend.... 4 hours putting it togther... Anyway.. now when you come to our appartment, we have a place to put you coat instead of on the floor! I still love Ikea. You know what I always say about Sundays...
Why goto church
when you can goto Ikea!

OK really....

Ok so got my AMex bill today... I had spent about 250 bucks at Costco last month. So anyway, got my bill and it stated that I had the activity at Costco, but then it had that I made a $5,000 payment! I freaked... Checked my online bank account and it had that I had that the payment that I had made last month was the ammount due... So I call.. Why i don't know. I call the 800 number and say... hey... you have me with a huge 5,000 credit on my card... and the lady on the other side of the phone said... hey.... we see that we recieved a 5,000 payment... and I say... hey... nope... and she (who spoke broken English) said, "nope... we recieved a 5,000 payment from you last month, sorry I can't help you" So... I think that I might go out and buy a big TV and tell AMex that they said I could!!! Dumbass Bastards!

I deal with stupid people on a daily basis!

In good news... Don and Mike maybe on Sirius! That makes Craig Happy!

Wal-Mart = STUPID!

OK. So, Allison and I decided today that we would be smart and start our Christmas shopping today. Which was fine. Went to Wal-Mart, on a saturday... Genius. So. We collected all our items throughout the store and went to checkout. Now I know that Most people that work at Wal-Mart don't hold Degrees from Harvard business school, but adding up prices is a fairly simple task... Eh? One gift (which I won't say what cause that person may read this) was $94.99. Then we had about 10 more lower priced item. Allison, swipes our card, the checkout girl helps us load our cart with our items and we walk out.... Thinking that the numbers didn't add up as we walked to the car I looked over the recipt and our total only came to $90.84...wait that's wrong, one of our items was more than that....Yup she rang the item in and then for some reason deleted or accidently deleted the charge.

Now I know this isn't rocket science that these people do at Wal-Mart, but if you ring through 1 item at $94.99, and then the total at the end comes to $90.35, wouldn't you think that something went wrong when you were running the bar codes, past the laser scanner. Thank you Wal-Mart with the help on our Christmas. Ho Ho Ho...Stupid!
